🚨Accused mushroom killer Erin Patterson continued giving evidence today in her triple murder trial and told the court she accepted that some of the mushrooms in her Beef Wellington were poisonous death caps.
But the mother-of-two said the majority of the mushrooms were from the local Leongatha Woolworths supermarket and a “grocer in Melbourne.”
The 50-year-old mother-of-two gave her account from the witness stand at Morwell, as members of both the Patterson and Wilkinson families—whose loved ones were affected by Ms Patterson’s fatal beef Wellington meal—sat in the courtroom.
The Supreme court of Victoria heard about her interest in mushrooms, both wild and store-bought. She said she had begun noticing wild mushrooms during the COVID lockdowns while on walks, as she was walking with her children in the Korumburra area. 🍄🍄
